Confessions of a Game Maker: Mysteria Lane Redux

When the Patrons ("All honour to them") demanded a re-look at a not-quite-finished ML, I nodded in as much resignation as any of our in-game heroines.  I get bored-- I want to do the 'next thing!'-- but am also learning a not-quite sorted game (or a string of them) annoys patrons a LOT.  And... rightly so (stage cue: head bowed to Ulver & Matt & others).  So I acquiesced and turned my attention back to a neglected ML.  First bit was to sort the technical issues.  Fair cop- timing metric was screwed up.  But a re-exam also made me realise the rewards needed another look.  Vids are too easy and story telling delivers harder for you lot.  So I devised a more evocative reward-based approach (I hope-- you tell me) that I think better fits the game narrative.  Also let's take the 'mysteria' out of early clues and trigger phrases too, please.  New reward approach now consists of souvenirs, pix and 'magic moments' with some scripted audio overlay.  And Patrons wanted an epilogue- how did the story end for our ladies (in a backward looking glance that puts player in their new CR mission-- Hi Debbie!)?  The result is a Seph-inspired better glitch-free gameplay outcome (we hope) and a new raft of content.  It will be ready shortly and rolled out in succession to Patrons from top of the company all the way down.  Directors+ first will soon get next Alpha release and asked for testing help, then down the line.  Here are some screenshots that give some sense of how game has evolved (your treasures are now accumulated in a home office private safe):

Link for next test version here for Directors+ BEHIND THE CURTAIN shortly; roll out for our other worthy execs follow in a staggered corporate manner (please check your Patreon feed!).  You know the drill-- report needed fixes/edits in the forum.  I have no illusions more fixes will be needed.  And thank you for your patronage AND your insistence that games get finished AND your passion.

These games are for YOU-- tell me what you want Dear Patrons and I shall oblige!

Looks great. Can't wait to give the new content a spin. Also the fact that Moral choices *matter* in terms of their final fate.
