Early Stages: New Game Update!

MaxDS pointed out I haven't shared current game status-- oops!  I forget not everyien here visits teh forum.  

The winner of the final vote for the next game to be developed is Church of Selecta.  I'm using CULTUS as a working title and the focus is on a Near Future world in which the Player seeks to build their own cult, choosing beliefs that will allow them to indulge their most depraved appetites and recruiting followers willing to commit any act their master or mistress commands.  Instead of using shallow laws, the Player will invoke the darkest dogmas to ensure an ever growing web of control and depravity.  

Here's an extract from the games design doc I'm currently working on:

"Seek the dark visions that shall reveal the mysteries needed to found and grow a cult based on your tenets. Recruit converts and build up a network of believers throughout the busiest cities and most forgotten vales across the country. Train your followers to perform terrible missions and appoint them as your lieutenants. Invite the most deserving to your Inner Circle and appoint them as lieutenants to better spread the pale of your teachings. Seek out profane relics and perform dark ceremonies that grow your power and influence. Strike down opponents and competitors who wittingly or unwittingly stand in your way.  Sell your followers into slavery or take them as concubines.  Sacrifice, murder, atrocity and more—all unleashed at your command.  Seek out the “Select”—spiritually rich targets of opportunity that can be bent to your will and allow you to cast your shadow even farther. Once you are strong enough, begin to eradicate the land of heresy by demanding the surrender and conversion of all remaining opponents.  Finally, implement a New Age dedicated to the glory of the cult and its master—you."

TLDR; all the themes you've enjoyed in previous SC games, now with an even darker perspective.
