Company Man release imminent (next week)!

Thrawn and I are pleased to announce that the next version of Company Man will be released, as planned, before end of year!  I was hoping we could get it to you before Christmas but Thrawn advises another week of testing and making some decisions regarding mid game dynamics.  

The release WON'T be the full game.  That said, it is much more fleshed out and is solidly playable up until what we'd suggest is the mid game.  There is plenty to do.  There are fifteen main players and about that many minor players.  The following departments are ready to conquer: Consulting Services Group, Compliance, HR, Legal and Planning.  There are lots of city locations to visit and thousands of potential interactions.  There are multiple paths available to play in terms of strategy and the game is playable in sandbox mode so you can go as far as the game limits currently allow.  There are loads of videos and dialogue streams to provide the flavour that many enjoyed in the original iteration of the game.

TLDR; this version is at least two magnitudes beyond the last version and is definitely a 'game' now, not a prototype.  And yes-- you can finally save multiple progress points in the game!

The plan is to cascade the game in about a week, starting with the top level supporters and moving through the ranks until all supporters will get a choice of Windows, Mac or a Linux version to play.  We're hoping you'll find bugs-- despite our best efforts and testing, we know there will be some.  We also hope you provide feedback of all types so we can improve the game experience.  This game is for you-- if there's something missing and we can fit it in thematically, just tell us! 

Next phase will be to build out the rest of the character interactions and paths, and perhaps add music, sound and/or voiceover and other extensions.  

Anyhoo, if you're a Dir+ supporter, be on the lookout for the Company Man release a week from now...

I'm excited.  This has been a project in the works for the better part of two years.  To finally be able to share such a developed version is exciting.

Finally, to those disappointed by the hiatus in Strange Bedfellows writing, I apologize but have been utterly immersed in game writing, developing and testing.  Since we see January as a period in which we'll be in fan review/testing mode, I'm planning on getting back to SB writing and dropping new chapters then.
