The future of Mango3D, 2023 and beyond.
Added 2022-05-02 17:00:06 +0000 UTCFirst of all I want to start by saying, thank you, it has been 4 years of your constant support here on Patreon, and hopefully it will continue to be so for many years to come, but for that to happen some adjustments have to be made, let me explain.
My main goal when I opened this Patreon was to offer content with enough quality and in enough quality that all subscribers felt they got their money's worth. And I feel that I achieved that, at least with the quantity, because between my main and secondary Patreon I publish more than 330 different pictures every month, that's a lot of content, and for all this time I felt proud to be able to deliver that much, but unfortunately, this is not sustainable, I can't do this forever.
Maintaining that level of production comes with a price, a price that gets harder and harder for me to pay every day, you have to understand, I don't have days off, I work an average of 14 hours a day, every day, I spend a ridiculous amount of time sitting in front of my computer, this behavior has caused me several medical issues, like poor blood flow in my legs, mild muscle atrophy, back pains, and the cherry on top, this sedentary lifestyle has triggered an autoimmune disease in me, disease that I keep under control with medication, but sitting on my butt all day is definitely not helping me with that.
Basically I've been in quarantine since May 2018, in a 3x3 meter room, surrounded by four walls, the only human voices I hear regularly come from music or podcast. Living like this can't be healthy for anyone, I've been away from my family and friends all this time, I wasn't even present in the last years of my father's life, all because of this weird obsession with content creation. I need to make some changes.
Changes for 2023
The truth is, if I keep working the same way, eventually I will reach a breaking point and I will stop making content forever, I don't want that, I still have a lot of stories to tell, I want to improve the quality of my content and try new things. So I will have to reduce the amount of content I post every month.
Changes for Level 1
No changes at all, I will continue posting 4 pictures a month for Level 1 Patrons and above.
-------------------------
Changes for Level 2
No changes at all, daily series are my favorite content to work on, I will keep posting 3 pictures daily for Level 2 Patrons and above.
-------------------------
Changes for Level 3
The changes start here, monthly series will be reduced from 60 pics to 30.
-------------------------
Changes for Level 4
No changes at all, you will still be able to vote for the community series every month, which will still be 20 pics per month.
-------------------------
Changes for Level 5
Premiun monthly series will be reduced from 100 pics to 50.
-------------------------
Changes for MangoBP
No changes at all.
-------------------------
These adjustments (along with finally finishing all the custom work I'm currently doing) will give me enough time to exercise again every morning and take the weekends off, so I can talk to real people again, also, I will have time to start learning animation and share my progress with you.
These changes will be effective in January 2023, I hope you continue to support me after that, and if you think it's not worth it anymore, it doesn't matter, you will still have my eternal gratitude. Thank you very much everyone.

We love your work, if you need to output less to take care of yourself, that's totally fine. If you'd prefer to start taking easy next month instead of next year, that would be fine by me too. We enjoy your work a lot, but there would be no point in it if it doesn't make you happy. So take all the time you need, Mango. You deserve to be happy and healthy

2022-05-04 15:30:03 +0000 UTCPacing oneself can't be said enough. It would be terrible shame to fall ill again to exhaustion and use up your extra income on your health bills. We all need vocation, but recreation - even if it's just chillaxing - is also vital.

2022-05-03 05:36:22 +0000 UTCYou deliver AMAZING content and in abundance! This adjustment is totally understandable! From what you have shared with us in the past, you are a great guy, you help take care of others. Please do this change and take care of yourself. Your health is important!

2022-05-02 20:57:17 +0000 UTCHonestly man, to me it sounds like you need to make these changes sooner rather than later. A month from when you finish whatever collaborations you have left, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that knowing even half of this because from the sounds of it your just working yourself unhealthy and into an early grave and the thought of that is scary as hell. You should not be making yourself sick trying to provide for a patreon even if it is your current work.
2022-05-02 20:49:11 +0000 UTCI support you in every way. Your content is amazing but if it’s this much of a detriment to your personal life I’d rather you cut back on this than keep going. Life is short and uncertain, and we know to be grateful for the content we get with that precious time and understand that it can easily come at costs. From what you describe the current cost is too damn high and unhealthy. Sit back relax and find a way to enjoy yourself friend.
