Thoughts on the future of my adventure games

Hey everyone,

I got to thinking today, I've been working on The Lab since about July 2017. In just four months, it'll be at the two-year anniversary of near-constant updates. Although I hope the new updates continue to entertain you, I never saw myself working on this forever.

I was bouncing around some ideas for a Floor 3 (and beyond?) where each floor has a different gameplay style. I do have an idea for Floor 3's gameplay, but it's still not past that "idea" phase, even after a few months. I'm starting to wonder whether it's nearly time to retire The Lab and move onto something else.

Don't worry. I am committed to working on something for you. Until the next plan is hashed out, that something is The Lab, floors 1 and 2

Something that's a little more exciting to me would be to revive an old concept character of mine called Rasa. He's a product of genetic engineering, and resembles a near-featureless (that's code for "he has no eyes") grey salamander with a long tongue and endless appetite. Sample images here and here

Rasa is indestructible and can eat just about anyone. He can temporarily adopt some of the properties of anyone he eats (physical, or intangibles like skills or talents). In an otherwise "standard" adventure game, this could be an entertaining angle for puzzle solving, especially if you can choose between mundane solutions and just having Rasa eat (and permanently digest) everyone in sight.

At the moment, I'm feeling like the Rasa direction (or if not him, a similar property-adopting character) might be the best long-term route for me. But I'd like your opinion too. If I get an overwhelming response in one direction, I may change my priorities.

So the question is, what would you prefer my long-term direction be?
