Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix FULL MOVIE REACTION

Watch HP5 with me here!

Unfortunately this one seems a little different because I forgot to enable a setting where I didn't have the movie audio with me!

Going forward (and the way the past several have been) you will need a copy to sync up with me!

Hey, for some reason this password isn't working.

Mrs. Figg is the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood. She was the babysitter the Dursleys always left Harry with. She cancelled on the zoo day because she'd tripped over one of her cats and broken her leg. She's not a witch. She's a squib. I love how Molly Weasley's adopted Harry as another son. This is the first time we get a peek at the adult part of the wizarding world. The set for the Ministry of Magic is great, very government-like. In the book, one of the funniest running things is how the wizarding government is bogged down in as much, if not more red-tape than the muggle one. Imelda Staunton does Umbridge SO well. That little laugh is so perfect and the haughty air. That office of hers is absolutely horrid. I love cats and I hate that her office is full of them and that her patronus is a cat. Daniel Radcliffe's acting really starts to step up in this movie too. All the little Voldemort-esque twitches are great. The OWLs are huge exams. How they do in them determines what classes they can take next year and what professions they can or can't pursue. They don't mention in the movies that the OWLs how practical parts too. They'll have to do spells in front of proctors. They never explain in the movies that Percy Weasley, now graduated, is trying to rise up through the ministry. So he's buying Fudge's bull, hook line and sinker, and he won't talk to any of his family anymore. He keeps to it until the very last moment too. He shows up at the Battle of Hogwarts at the end to fight against Voldemort, and witnesses his brother Fred's murder. It was the one character death I couldn't stomach. Killing off an identical twin. So cruel. The wizard world attitude towards centaurs, goblins, house elves, and other sentient magical species is pretty shitty in the book. Gringotts employs wizards because they're not allowed, by law, to do certain things such as use wands. Werewolves are persecuted too. I think it was in this book, but new laws were passed that basically made it impossible for Lupin to find a job. Trelawny made that prophecy, giving only vague information about who the baby would be. The ministry narrowed it down to either Harry Potter or Neville Longbottom. After Voldemort attacked Harry, the prophecy was changed to just be about Harry. Dumbledore points out that Voldemort didn't attack Neville, the pureblood, but choose to go after Harry, a halfblood like himself.
