Daniel Radcliffe is short for a leading man, only 5'5". This movie is where Tom Felton absolutely shines. He does Draco's anguish SO well. I don't think they explained the upping of his hatred. Now that everyone believes Harry, he told the ministry who was in the graveyard when Voldemort returned. Draco's father was arrested and is in Azkaban. Evanna Lynch does amazing with Luna. She's completely what I pictured when I read the books. I love this uncomfortable honesty to her. In the book, she asks Harry if they're going to do Dumbledore's army again. When he says no, she tells him she's disappointed. She enjoyed it because, "It was like having friends." The potion feeding scene was horrible in both the movie and the book. I'd imagine Harry would have nightmares about it for the rest of his life. Dumbledore's death gets me every time... that wand "candle" tribute. Love your genuine reaction.

Yeah, Dumbledore's death was actually worse in the book. He had used a spell on Harry to immobilize him, so that Harry literally could not interfere at all! So Harry was literally frozen in place (underneath his invisibility cloak, which actually kind of mirrors the beginning with Draco on the train, but in a very different way) while watching yet another father figure of his dying! On a happier note, I'm glad you're enjoying Luna Lovegood so much! As I've stated before, she is my favorite character in the entire series. She's more important in the books, but that's the case with most of these characters (like Dobby). Fun fact, the lion headdress she wears in this movie can actually roar like a real lion in the book (she wears it to Gryffindor quidditch matches, even though she's a Ravenclaw)! She's actually an incredibly insightful character. Also, in the books, Ginny is a MUCH BETTER character than she is in the movies! She's strong, independent, and more like the twins than she is like Ron. In fact, she got an invite to Slughorn's dinner parties because he caught her doing a bat-bogey hex on another student. He was supposed to give her detention for that, but he was so impressed, he invited her to his parties instead! Also, in the book, she and Harry become an actual couple instead of just sharing a short kiss like they do in this movie. It's actually hilarious how she breaks up with Dean (Harry and Ron's black classmate that you recognized in on of the other HP movies; he's in the TV series "How to Get Away With Murder", so that might be where you've seen him). So, Ginny and Dean are heading back into the Gryffindor common room when Harry (under his invisibility cloak) "accidentally" bumps Ginny, who of course blames it on Dean, which leads to their breakup (their relationship was already highly strained by this point). Then, at the end of the book, Harry breaks up with Ginny (which she totally called, by the way) in order to "protect her." Also, instead of the death eaters blitzing the castle, there's actually a huge battle between the death eaters and the order of the pheonix, in the book. Also, Dumbledore was around 115 when he died. If Dumbledore was still alive today, he would be around 140 years old (that's right, HP takes place in the '90s). In the previous book/movie, when the 5th year students are taking their OWLs, Harry meets a very old wizard who proctored Dumbledore's OWLs as well, so Dumbledore wasb't that old for a wizard when he died. Anyways, I can't wait until you see the final movie, which reveals A LOT of stuff!

I was so upset when the 6th book came out and I read about Dumbledore's death! I didn't believe it at first! And I was so mad at Snape! And, then I got mad at JK Rowling for not being finished with the series yet! She certainly left me wanting more after that ending! I won't say anything more since you haven't posted the final movie reaction yet

Admirable guesses...great investment to our story, And the biggest plot twist is still to come...prepare yourself.

Dangit !

Haha, just one thing, dumbledore wouldn’t have made a horcrux because if you remember what Professor Slughorn said, in order to make a horcrux you have to commit murder. It’s dark magic!

The audiobooks are fantastic. They’re all narrated by Jim Dale and he does a magnificent job.

Marcusinmilw

I really should read them or at least audio book them sometime!

Im SCARED NOW! lol

i literally cannot wait to watch you watch the last 2....get ready for it...

Pamela Lorbieski

Ha! Fair enough. Speaking of the books...I HATE when people make comparisons between the novels and the films, but I'm going to contradict myself. As heartbreaking as Dumbledore's death is in this movie, it was 10 times more excruciating in the book. I was SO mad I threw the book across the room, where it promptly knocked over a lamp and a picture frame that both smashed on the floor. Then I was REALLY pissed! lol

Marcusinmilw

Oopsies! Can def tell i havent read the books lol

Another great reaction, Travis! Just FYI, Ron’s sister’s name is Ginny, not Jenny. 🙂

Marcusinmilw
