I am the same as your friend, I fall asleep to Supernatural every night...have been since I first found the show in 2013. My best friend INSISTED that I at least watch the first 4 seasons and I was like, 4 WHOLE SEASONS?! ARE YOU CRAZY? I don't even like horror but I am not afraid of it anymore because of Sam and Dean. I just finished my like my ninth rewatch and I was about to restart season 1 on DVD like I usually do, but then I thought, hey, just to mix it up I will rewatch season 1 with Travis on Patreon, because that will be more fun! I love how you loved the show right away like I did. I was 100% hooked by the middle of season 1 and never looked back!

2022-09-24 20:39:27 +0000 UTCS2 is my all time fave Season. S1 is probably my 2nd fave, then 3,4,5. The early season arcs are so well done! And as a whole S1-5 are the best TV I have ever seen. 6-15 are still up there but nothing beats the first 5.

2022-07-24 09:00:35 +0000 UTCBaby, the Impala, was gifted to Jensen Ackles by the producers when the show ended. He took it back to Texas to have some work done on it, but he was so happy. She is a big part of the show, and, with the exception of Dean and Sam, the longest continuing character on the show.

And I mean from a production standpoint, to what the actors are capable of delivering to what the writers are capable of producing. Season 1 is for me a big learning curve for everyone on the show. And I thank the season improves considerably. And I love season 2, depending on my mood its either my 2nd or my third favorite season of the show. Season 1 has strengths to it. It really plays harder into urban horror stories. And both season 1 and 2 have the shows best cinematography, easily. Now for myself, the horror aspect has never been the appeal to me (Though I dearly miss the cinematography a lot). For me its hard character drama that grabs me. And I thank its something SPN learns to do well for several years. And this episode we see little glimpses of deeper levels to the characters versus more surface details. As that continues and improves it really makes the show for me. And by the start of season 2, I thank there is a dramatic leap in characterization, the acting is significantly better. I thank much of the guest actors are getting better written material and doing overall better work. So for me the heart of the show is character work, and grounding the hell out of the characters in this world. With seasons 1-5 having a fairly stable writers room (though several are fairly new to the business most of those seasons have fairly solid flow from one to the next (sorry season 3). When we start seeing major departures and changes to the writing staff, I thank it seriously impacts the show. Now There are absolutely episodes I Love in each season, but for me its probably 4,5,2,3 and 1 as my preference order (again sometimes that changes to 4,2,5,1 and 3), and then I tend to lump the rest in groups.

2022-07-05 00:05:23 +0000 UTCSadly, very few people think that a show's first season is as good as the rest of the show, if it continues on for more than one season. And I hate this! I've heard many people talk about shows and how they feel the first seasons aren't nearly as good as the seasons to come, because they think that a show is still struggling to find its footing. I completely disagree. Shows simply just evolve. Sometimes, a show's later seasons are better than their first seasons. And sometimes they aren't. It is most certainly different for everyone. I actually quite love season one of Supernatural, and I love season two. Supernatural's first two seasons for me, are by far my favorite seasons. And while I love certain characters to come in the later seasons, I personally just don't care for the seasons overall as a whole anymore after season two. I just enjoy watching particular episodes that I love from seasons three and onward. Season two of Supernatural is easily my favorite season. But I love season one as a whole as well. :) I'm not trying to say that seasons three and onward are bad, Travis. Because they're not. It's just that for me... I really only enjoy certain aspects within these future seasons, and I love many characters to come. And I certainly want you to be able to enjoy every season and their episodes to come. I'm just happy that you aren't letting someone try to sway you into thinking that this season isn't nearly as good as the rest, and that you're enjoying this show for all the good that it is.
