Doctor Who | 3x13 'Last of the Time Lords'

I love the Face of Boe reveal, and if you think about it, it makes sense. The Face of Boe was able to warn the Doctor with the 'You Are Not Alone' thing, because he (Captain Jack/FoB) was there with him when the Doctor found out who Professor Yana/The Master was. Such a fun little twist.

Doctor Who used to air on the scifi channel in the US. Indeed, it was always cut down for commercials. This is why i always pirated the show as soon as it played in Britain so i would get the full version. lol. ;-)

A lot of scenes would have been cut to sell internationally as the US has more breaks. So a 45 minute ep needs to be cut to 42 minutes. So HBO would have used that version. The commercial music was an easy cut as it would have cost more money if they didn't clear it for international to save money (this is coming from someone currently trying to clear music on a UK production that'll have international versions)

Shame so many scenes were cut! And Miranda is one of my top fave TV shows! It's where I fell in love with Tom Ellis. Though I see him as Lucifer, I mainly see him as Gary Preston. xD

I've already paid for Doctor Who season 4, he's moving on to that straight after the Christmas special. If someone else wants to pay for Torchwood at any time they can do, but I won't be. I was never a fan of it, too violent and dark for me lol.

This is strange, many scenes are missing in this episode. I guess HBO Max removed them for some reason because they're on our British version on BBC iPlayer. There's a scene where The Master sings I can't Decide by the Scissor Sisters to The Doctor, there's a scene where Martha's mum tries to shoot The Master and The Doctor talks her out of it, there's a scene where Martha finds Professor Dougherty (the old lady) and gives her flowers and tells her she forgives her for what she did and there's a scene where Martha calls Tom's work place to find him after the world has returned to normal. All of that has been cut out of this version of the episode. 🤔 But it is a great episode anyway, so well done. That reveal of Jack being The Face Of Boe never gets old. No one ever sees that coming. And I love Martha leaving in the way that she did. No heartbreaking ending, she just decided that she'd had enough of pining over someone who'll never love her back and that's amazing. Martha is a strong and inspiring woman. And you saw her give her phone to The Doctor at the end so make of that what you will. 👀 Tom Ellis being in this episode is great. At this time, he wasn't the big name he is now. He was just in a British sitcom called Miranda, that's on my list of shows to get you to watch one day lol. So for Tom, getting this guest appearance on Doctor Who, the most watched scripted show in Britain, was a massive deal for him. 😊 I look forward to the Christmas special and then season 4. There are a lot of familiar faces and BIG twists coming up that will blow your mind. 🔥

Psychic Travis strikes again! haha So, the Face of Boe in context, Jack met both Rose and Martha. The face of boe met both of them too. The Face of Boe's message to the Doctor that he is not alone, well he knows that because he was there as Jack, with the Doctor and Martha. When the Doctor visits the Face of Boe as he is dying in hospital in New New York, about to pass on his final message, Rose walks in just at that moment. The Face of Boe (Jack) realizes the Doctor hasn't met Martha yet so it's too soon to pass on the message. He says it's not time and they'll meet one last time. Then when the Doctor brings Martha to new new york (gridlock) that's when Face of Boe know's that it's the right time to pass on the message.

I knew you were going to love the fact that Tom Ellis, Lucifer himself, was in this episode, as well as the reveal that Captain Jack is the Face of Boe! Your face, especially when you found out that Captain Jack is the Face of Boe, was priceless 🤣🤣🤣! The Doctor is so smart, always thinking several steps ahead. His plan took an entire year to unfold and it went off without a hitch. I also love that Martha told the Master what's what, "Did you really think there was a weapon in 4 parts?" 🤣🤣🤣 (I know, not a direct quote, but that's the gist of it). I was so sad to find out that Martha was leaving the show the first time I watched this, but that is how this show keeps things fresh. Anyways, the Christmas special is a good one, so I'll see you there!
