2022-07-29 15:10:24 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you recognized Idina Menzel! Oh, and the guy who plays Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) might seem familiar to you if you've watched Frozen and Frozen 2. Yeah, Mr. Schue is a mess right now! I always thought that was super callous of him to make out with Idina's character (I'll be interested to see how you react to her character as she progresses through the show). And she hit the nail right on the head with her speech to him! Plus, he didn't even tell Emma about his dalliance with a woman he JUST met! Yeah, and how Idina and Groff's characters (it's that Frozen connection) are treating Rachel always enrages me! She is a 16-year-old girl, at this point a sophomore in high school, that is being taken advantage of by 2 adults for a high school show choir competition! That is not OK! But anywhoo, re-watching this first season with you made me realize that this is probably my favorite season of the show. We'll see if that holds up

Regarding your question about Santana and Brittany's relationship they are best friends but they are also "friends with benefits" at this point in the show. Last episode it was very briefly acknowledged they were "friends with benefits" when Santana said "Having sex is not dating" then Brittany says without thinking "If it were Santana and I would be dating". Without detailed spoilers of storylines Santana and Brittany as characters get addressed more starting in Season 2 because that is when Naya Rivera (Santana) and Heather Morris (Brittany) became series regulars.
