It's a TV show, we all take it with a grain of salt because we're adults and we understand the concept of suspension of disbelief. Trust me, watch it from a position of not judging for accuracy and it gets much more enjoyable for everyone

It is one of the best television shows ever produced and people love these characters. If you are willing to watch it all the way through I say go for it.
