2023-03-27 16:56:45 +0000 UTCTrue, the way she treated marina was awful. I tend to think she has spent so long trying to work against her husband's addiction that she has had to become cold and detached which allows her to treat people in the manner in which she treated Marina.

2023-03-27 16:55:22 +0000 UTCThat’s true. But if you’ve read the books then you’d know that there is more to it than that. I don’t know how much of that will translate to the series given that some characters have been changed a bit or altogether omitted. We shall see soon enough how they manage to pull it off.

2023-03-27 06:31:19 +0000 UTCThe bee is intertwined through all of the first season. You will notice it more if you do a rewatch. All will be explained in season 2.

2023-03-27 06:27:11 +0000 UTCAs much as I love this season, season 2 is my favorite so far. The bee will make more sense next season

2023-03-27 04:30:13 +0000 UTCYour reaction to the 'Whistledown' reveal was worth waiting for. I'm right with you regarding the music, too. I found season 2 to be equally delightful. Hope you won't wait long.

2023-03-27 03:53:01 +0000 UTCI think the thing people miss with the fetheringtons is that they wear the bright fabrics because that's what they can afford. Mrs fetherington takes something ugly and finds a way to provide her daughters the opportunity to have a life of security. She had to make hard choices because her husband could not.

2023-03-27 03:19:22 +0000 UTCI'm glad they didn't go the obvious route with who Whistledown was. I figured it was either Penelope or Danbury (your password convinced me it was indeed Penelope). I'm glad Daphne and Simon finally started to be honest with each and declare their love for each other once and for all. I have to say that Daphne does have quite a duplicitous nature (with good intentions) by continually going behind Simon's back, but it's also understandable with how closed off he is. And they finally had a baby! I'm glad they didn't go down the route of Simon being infertile, because that would've been unduly harsh of this show, but luckily, they went the happy route! I do think the sad ending could work, but would've been incredibly difficult to pull off. Overall, I found the first season of this show to be quite good. I look forward to your reactions for season 2!
