2023-03-31 01:59:07 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you're enjoying the show so much! Yeah, Sawyer does not make a good first impression at all! I honestly don't remember why Kate is a prisoner (I mean, this show came out almost 20 years ago so I won't be too hard on myself 🤣), I could be wrong about this, but the annoying girl who was useless up until the point she was able to help by utilizing her limited French skills, is the daughter in the Taken movies (again, I could be wrong about that). Fun fact, the Korean guy (Daniel Dae Kim) actually doesn't speak Korean fluently in the show, at least at first. He grew up with English as his primary language (much like myself) and had to relearn Korean for the show. The woman who plays his wife helped him to reacclimate to the Korean language. The character he's playing is a very old-school Korean that believes in his right to control everything his wife does, which is probably why that scene didn't go over well for you, Travis. I'm not a big fan of that old-school Korean mentality, but it was very common back then (my mom is very old-school Korean in the way she thinks and acts, but my dad is more American in his way of thinking)
