2023-04-15 20:31:03 +0000 UTCVery true. His way of showing love is just very different from what many Western people are used to

2023-04-14 03:34:07 +0000 UTCFor me when he tells her to wash up it sounded rude at first, especially since up until now he's seemed that way but really he was genuinely concerned, I mean they had been on the island for a few days now and yet she was the only one that hadn't cleaned up since the crash.

2023-04-12 00:35:52 +0000 UTCYeah, I don't know why, but shaky cam has never bothered me that much (now if I'm on a boat, that's a different story 🤣). Now, if a director uses it for no discernable reason, then it bothers me a lot more (I'm looking at you season 1 of HSMTMTS). I've forgotten A LOT about this show, even more than I thought, because I remember only bits and pieces of the first few episodes (I've only seen the show once). You'll see how the rest of the show goes as you watch (I don't want to spoil anything for you so that's as much as you're gonna get from me). So, with the Korean couple, we do see that he genuinely cares for his wife with that small scene at the end with him gently caressing her hair out of the way. He is just very old-school Korean in demeanor and attitude. He's been taught that the man in the relationship should know all the answers and that he should take care of her with every fiber of his being. He's also been taught that his wife should obey him above all else. I have A LOT of problems with old-school Korean thinking and never bought into it. Anyways, you'll see more about what this show is as you watch more episodes ;)
