A quid is a slang term for their 'dollar'. Pence is their 'pennies' probably actually where we got the term from originally. So two 50's is basically 4 quarters which make a pound=quid My boyfriend his English lol so I pick up a lot of slang terms hehe

SeanBoi

Ah yes… the episode that turns Moaning Murtle into a slab of concrete 😢

Cyan_SkyTortoise

Ok I apologize if I made you mad. That was never my intention. I love your reactions and I was laughing too. I was just stating one thing that's all. I truly am sorry. I'm not a rude person

Staton Chapman

I’ll always respond with my thought process if I feel like I’m being called out on something. NBD. πŸ€—

Travis Manning

Ok

Staton Chapman

Didn’t think you were. Just had no idea what you were referring to… but to be fair the show made the joke first about β€œwe even have a bit of a love life…” while holding the concrete block. It was pretty clear (to me at least) what they were trying to say.

Travis Manning

Oh just at the end when they said they sorta had a love life or something and you made the comment about sticking something somewhere. I know u were just joking around. I was just commenting about relationships. I wasn't being rude or mean or anything. Sorry

Staton Chapman

Not sure what you’re referring to here but … sure ! There are plenty of different types of relationships :)

Travis Manning

A love life doesn't always involve sex. There are a sexual relationships

Staton Chapman

Yea its one thing to say ooh a future episode may be funny or scary but don't go into details

Staton Chapman

I've noticed that. I hope Travis doesn't read through the YouTube comments much because the amount of spoilers is crazy. With some people they are intentionally being dickheads and with some people they just think it's ok to do that, either way it's annoying though. On his latest Doctor Who YouTube post there were people like "you thought that was scary, wait until you see [insert alien here] in [insert episode here] with [insert future Doctor actor here] and [insert future companion actress here]." And I'm just like WHY WOULD YOU SPOIL ALL OF THAT FOR SOMEONE?! 🀦🀦

Siobhan Linehan

Alot of people that respond on YouTube are also trolls and will legit post spoilers for the heck of it

Staton Chapman

I'm glad to hear that. I love the show for everything it is too. The romantic moments are my favourites, mostly lol. But every part of the show is what makes it totally unique and special. πŸ‘Œ

Siobhan Linehan

Andres El Ray is up to season 11 and honestly he laughs through every episode. There's about 5 I follow and every one of them has grown to love the show BECAUSE of it's funny moments. AND it's sad moments, happy moments, romantic moments, scary moments, and every moment in-between.

SeeJay

I only follow three reactors and only two do Doctor Who. Brittany, who's just finished season 7, and Travis. And Brittany laughs a lot like Travis does. And everyone I've introduced to Doctor Who in real life has laughed too. I don't know who the grumps are who have been saying that to Travis, but they're not true whovians for sure.

Siobhan Linehan

So I'm just back from vacay and have a whole bunch of reactions to catch up on. Bring it on. So this one I usually skip but I decided to watch yours and O.M.G Travis, you had me howling with your reaction 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣 this is arguably the WORST episode in Doctor Who history. Most reactors just stare at the screen in disbelief and have nothing to say, but you were fully along for the cringefest lol. One thing I will say though, I REALLY love how they handled Jackie in this episode. It was great to give her a moment to shine, away from the Doctor and Rose. We get to see the flirty Jackie we've seen before but then we see how lonely and worried she is with Rose gone. Great acting from her too.

SeeJay

I'm late commenting on this as was on vacation for the last week. I watch reactors who are caught up at least to season 10 or 11 if not fully caught up and they laugh in pretty much every episode, just as I do. Doctor who is FULL of humor.

SeeJay

Well if you keep going at your current pace and if I keep paying for it, which I will, then you should catch up by the end of the year/start of next year. There are three 60th anniversary special episodes at the end of this year, but season 14 with Jinkx isn't on until Spring next year. So I'm semi confident you'll get there in time. 😊

Siobhan Linehan

I LOVE JINKX! Can’t wait to see in 2026 when I get there ! Lolol jk. Kinda.

Travis Manning

I loved Ncuti in Sex Education too, Eric is literally my favourite character. So he's going to be brilliant on Doctor Who I'm sure of it. Especially with RTD back. And yeah Yasmin being in the 60th will be iconic. Also Jinkx Monsoon is in the next season which I can't wait for. It's all going to be so diverse and camp and awesome. 😊 And yep, the crusty old farts will be fuming lol. Poor things. πŸ˜‚

Siobhan Linehan

Oh gosh I loved Ncuti in sex education, I think he's going to be a fabulous Doctor. I'm really looking forward to seeing the specials with Yasmin Finney from Heartstopper which I also adore. As for the aforementioned ninkimpoops, well I hope all that diversity and "woke agenda" getting shoved down their necks makes those crusty old farts heads explode. πŸ˜„

Amy Cope

Ninkimpoop is a great way to describe them. I know exactly the sort of people you're talking about, I see them on the Doctor Who social media pages all the time. Well I for one can't wait for season 14 with so much diversity and many LGBT+ actors/characters. It's going to be brilliant if the filming photos are anything to go by. 😊

Siobhan Linehan

I personally like Blink.

Emil Borg

What do we think is the best Doctor-lite episode? It has to be between Blink and Turn Left for me and I can't choose, on the one hand Blink does scary really really well. I can't watch that one if I'm alone and it's night. πŸ˜„πŸͺ½πŸ˜¨ But I love how Turn Left leaves the whole monster of the week idea completely and explores a different type of scary.

Amy Cope

Ninkimoop I am obsessed lol

Travis Manning

Oh gosh. People can be so precious. Doctor Who is by its own admission often completely ridiculous. There are some serious moments, the occasional serious episode, but for the most part it's one big madcap ride of silliness. I bet the people complaining about you laughing are the same ones complaining that Doctor Who has turned all woke and political as if it hasn't been that way forever right back to the classic series. They're just a bunch of silly angry ninkimpoops who should really consider getting a life. 🀷

Amy Cope

You are one hundred percent allowed to laugh at this show. This show knows itself well and uses humor strategically. They will sometimes throw out an episode like this as a pallet cleanser episode. As always a great reaction πŸ’™

HeSkatesSheCreates

I am probably one of the few people who love this episode lol I can’t wait to watch your reaction πŸ€“

HeSkatesSheCreates

Haha same. His laughing was the best part of it. πŸ˜‚

Siobhan Linehan

Yeah, Travis laughing so much in this reaction made this episode more palatable for me 🀣

Ilsuk Yang

Urgh there are some idiots around. This show is insane and crazy. Yes there are serious moments and emotional moments and scary moments. And Travis has reacted to those appropriately. So it's completely fine that he laughs at the crazy creatures and the cheesy jokes. That humour is part of the charm of the show. πŸ‘Œ

Siobhan Linehan

I think the best thing about this episode is the insane amount of ELO music. I mean I love ELO but it’s a lot for one tv episode.

Kaydee Bernal

A good number of people watching his Doctor Who reactions on YouTube have been causing a stink over Travis 'not taking this show seriously enough.' A big part of the charm of this show is that we can laugh at it. You just can't please some people

Ilsuk Yang

Yeah this episode is shit. It just is awful lol. 99% of Doctor Who fans hate it, so you're not alone. I watched like 10 minutes of this reaction and then just flicked through tbh. I can't stand this episode. A rare Doctor Who dud unfortunately. πŸ™ˆ Like Emil above said, this is the first of a few Doctor lite episodes across the seasons. But this is the only bad one and some are absolutely brilliant. So you don't have to worry about this being an indicator of what these sort of episodes are like. This was a one off disaster. 🀣 But I'm glad you found it funny at least. I don't know who's been telling you that you can't laugh at this show, it's literally classed as a sci-fi comedy drama. There are jokes in every episode and the monsters are intentionally ridiculous. So ignore the people who say you can't laugh, I laugh too. πŸ˜‚ Oh and the woman who plays Bliss is called Kathryn Drysdale and she's been in loads of things, but you probably know her either from St Trinians or Bridgerton. And I'm excited for the next episode. It's one I really like. And then after that is the two part season finale, which changes everything. Can't wait to see your reactions. 😊

Siobhan Linehan

🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣! You had me going crazy during this reaction 🀣🀣🀣, especially towards the end of the episode 🀣🀣🀣. Ursula is indeed Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter

Ilsuk Yang

Please do not do that. The last one literally came out 3 days ago.

Travis Manning

When does next episode of 9-1-1 come out

Marlene Berber

There are two things I need to mention regarding this episode. First of all, the lack of both The Doctor and Rose was by design as this is what fans call a Doctor-lite episode. Expect a few of those in the future. Second, the Abzorbaloff was created as part of a competition for children in the United Kingdom to create a monster for Doctor Who. The winner (the Abzorbaloff) would be featured in this episode.
