2023-06-07 22:30:24 +0000 UTCI think even if Nathan had still chosen his mom, Dan would've brought up Deb's affair and with a good lawyer he still would've at least gotten shared custody and Nathan would still be in the middle stuck between them. His only choice to keep his sanity and mental well-being was to emancipate and leave both of them. Yes, how he'll afford that will be a topic, but I think he made the right choice.

2023-06-07 02:00:19 +0000 UTCHonestly, I think Emancipation is the best thing for Nathan right now. He can't be with Dan, he's awful, and he doesn't trust Deb enough to be with her right now either. And while I understand her leaving Dan for another man and all that, her leaving Nathan with him and listening to him talk about how awful things were with Dan and not going back to save him is NOT okay. He literally called her to talk about how bad Dan was being, and she just let him keep going through it while he thought she was on a work trip. So yeah, while he may not be thinking the whole thing through properly (like money and stuff), I do think it's for the best right now. He chose himself over his parents for the first time instead of just doing whatever Dan wants him to do, or whatever he may think is what Deb wants.
