EraHuner Tribute

Some people noticed that my game resembles EraHunter… perhaps even too much so. 

You probably know this funny and damn cute game but in case you don’t here’s the link:

It is this game that inspired me to create my own. By "inspiring" I mean "almost copying" and I can’t deny I regret this sincerely.

I’ll tell you how this all began:

Once upon a time… I found the EraHunter game on the Internet. After I played it I did not simply find this amusing, laughed, melted, but also asked myself a question: "why am I not making a game?" I like to have fun, can make a good joke, my drawing is almost the same, I know a couple of things about games and making them was something I always wanted. After finishing EraHuner one more time and then again I made my mind and finished it for the fourth time. Just kidding.

It was on the New Year holidays and I had plenty of free time. After foolish concepts like "milkmaid goes to the world’s end to get the milk tax reduced" I finally got the crystal-pure idea of the game about actress that becomes a witch (you are yet to understand why is it so).

And so I slowly started making my game. This "slowly" equaled nine months. I made the whole story, thought out the first act, developed design of Rodinka and few other characters, read about gamedesign and writing, familiarized with RPG maker and, finally, finished the Episode One.

Someone told me he could make the Episode One in two days. You have no idea how much I envy him. But unfortunately I’m not him so I entered Patreon only in September, where you showed me your support and convinced I didn’t spend all this time for nothing. Thanks to you I’m still here and Rodinka’s journey continues.

All in all this happened thanks to red cutie Era and her creators and I’m deeply grateful to them and wish them good fortune with both their games and all the future projects.
