TRAVEL UPDATE! - catching up :))

hi!!! im now 5.5 weeks into my Europe voyage, almost done :((

here are some pics from Lagos and Lisbon Portugal!!

wow what a ride this has been. im currently writing this while im in Madiera, a small Portuguese island. this is my last stop before I go back to Lisbon in a few days to fly home.

the rest of Spain, malaga and Sevilla were very nice. malaga was super interesting, because I met up with a friend who is currently living there, who I haven't seen in years. it was really nice to catch up! it was completely unexpected and unplanned for this trip, which makes it even more fun! I went to Sevilla after that, and for the first day I was exhausted. I literally slept all day long. I ended up meeting some fun people and we did things like seeing a flamenco show, doing a paella cooking class, and going out to the bars. Sevilla was a bit of a chill Time in my travels, I didn't get up to very much sight-seeing wise cuz I was feeling a bit burnt out.

but after Sevilla that changed. on the bus ride to Lagos, Portugal, I met 3 girls and we instantly became friends ! we spent our time in Lagos together and did plenty of things, beach hopping (where we all took our tops off 🤣), kayaking the caves, trying restaurants and getting drinks on rooftop terraces. Lagos was such a vibe, I would highly recommend!

all of us ended up in Lisbon at the same time too! possibly one of my fav moments of this trip was when the 4 of us got takeout, a bottle of wine, and sat in a park for sunset, just chatting away. we all got pretty close over the time we were travelling together and Im so grateful I met them 🥹 some other things in Lisbon - flea market, eating pasties de nata and bifanas (Portuguese food), walking all around town, visiting sunset lookout spots , and enjoying the buzzing nightlife!

one of them is flying into madeira today and were meeting up!! so that'll be 3 cities we've been together for 😂 im excitedddd

I fly home on Wednesday. it's bittersweet. I love travelling but now at almost 1.5 months on the road, I am on one hand feeling ready to go back home. get into my routine again, see my friends and family, and really refocus myself on content creation. I feel ready to grind again. tbut on the other Hand, the constant adventure and uncertainty of what tomorrow will bring is so much fun. it feels normal to me now. meeting new people everyday, making connections, sharing stories, and making memories. I am feeling a bit exhausted by now tho haha. all in all im just feeling grateful to even have gotten the chance  to do all this!

I know many of you will read this and want to travel too and I say 100000% do it!! you'd be surprised at how cheap it can be if you make it. I think everyone should experience this as some point in their life. if you have any questions about it, just comment an ill answer!!
