Moving into 5.3

Greetings everyone!

Well, here we are. John and Tasha have received their minor maintenance updates and now it's time to start work on update 5.3, which means the major overhaul to the transformation system!

In addition, all events submitted by backers with processed $20 pledges will be added in this update. I've sent a message to all applicable recipients earlier in the month, and will be reaching out to hammer out details next week.

For now, let's talk about what's planned for the coming update!

Putting Pieces into Place

With John's recent update came an update on the arousal system. Moving to a 100 point scale not only gave us more control over how arousal works, but also more elbow room when it came to its applications. With it came a major change in how the Bimbo transformation works, and you can expect that to remain the same in 5.3. By decoupling the Bimbo transformation from Dominance, the doors are now wide open for Submissive Females and Sissy Bimbos!

Additionally, the changes to the wardrobe system, specifically making bras their own clothing slot, have been made with the new update in mind. Bust and crotch sizes will be manageable independently from gender, which means the wardrobe pieces will need to be able to accommodate. In fact, under the hood, the paper doll system has already been configured to piece items together in this way.

Speaking of that Paper Doll

With the release of 5.3 will also come the option of using the new artwork for the first time, in a limited capacity. When you start the game, you'll have the option of choosing to use the artwork in the wardrobe and mirror scenes. While it won't be available elsewhere in the game yet, it should give people an idea of what to expect, and give everyone a chance to play with the new system!

Additionally, we're currently looking at ways to expand player customization. This includes things like hair and eye color, hair styles, and body/facial hair. I don't have details to share on that front right now, but it is actively being discussed and with any luck, will hopefully make its debut in this update.

Secondary Systems

While the transformation system will be the focus of 5.3, we'll also be using it to take a hard look at other aspects of the game that are in need of attention. This primarily includes the pornography system, the crafting system, and the conversation and exploration systems.

While I don't have any details to share at the moment, the general idea is that we want to make the crafting system meaningful without all the tedium that comes with preparing multiple materials, then the mixing the serums themselves. For conversations and explorations, I want to make those feel more natural, as well as more visible. This will likely tie into some changes I have planned for navigation. As for the pornography system, well, the idea is to make it actually useful...

Release Date When?

I'll be spending the remainder of this week on planning and preparation, as well as responding to any issues surrounding the recent release. Starting early next week, you'll start seeing pre-alpha builds going up! I'm currently shooting for a mid-late June release window for this update, as there's a lot going into it. Naturally, I'll keep everyone updated every step of the way.
