Making Moves in 2019

Greetings everyone!

So this is sort of like a mini-devblog pertaining to in-progress initiatives that you'll be seeing more and more of as the year goes on. And, don't worry, the real devblog is still going to drop this Wednesday!

I've been using Patreon as a content platform for the last 18 months, and while it offers several features and conveniences that I've come to really appreciate, there are still some hurdles that can be difficult to work through, as well as several considerations when it comes to what actual content I can share here.

While I plan to continue using Patreon for the foreseeable future, I want to have a way to maintain a bit more control over the content I offer. For that reason, I've created an official website for The Company!

So what is the intent? What am I hoping this site will accomplish, and how will it differ from what I'm offering here on Patreon? For me, it's mostly about consolidation and ease of branding. Here's some key points:

• Have an easily linkable and easily recognizable location for the game
• Have a URL that doesn't insinuate the need to pay to play the latest public release
• Have a place to post NSFW content to share with non-patrons, such as artwork previews
• Eventually, have integration with Patreon to allow for hosting of patron-only content
• Better RSS functionality to follow posts
• Have a one-stop-shop for everything related to The Company

Additionally, it's no secret that there are certain risks involved when it comes to the realm of adult game development. While I'm confident that Patreon will continue to protect these endeavors, and the revenues they afford Patreon, those risks will always remain. With that always in the back of my mind, the official website is my contingency plan.

It will continue to grow over time, for now acting as a mirror for weekly development posts, the Play Online link, and local download links. As more content gets added, and certainly once Patreon integration occurs down the road, you'll start seeing it come up more and more!

Finally, for anyone so inclined to use it, I've created an official subreddit for The Company, which you can find here:

Feel free to use the subreddit in addition to Discord and other communities as a way to initiate discussions, report issues, make requests, and snag official releases. I'll be monitoring it fairly regularly.
