Hotel Caper Development Trivia 3

-Balerdroch Mountain is named after the Yugioh card Doomking Balderdroch.

-There were early-stage plans to have minions in the final confrontation with Dani. Combat as a whole has been thought about on and off but has so far never seen the light of day due to time and the general focus of the rest of the game.

-Cassidy was originally going to "roam" the main floor during part 2. She would appear in different places based on a random number generator. These were scrapped when the generator kept placing her in the same spot.

-The new part 1 Alex content was spur of the moment. It was originally going to be a hotel tour with Madie, something that would later be recycled into part 2.

-The chef's larger role in the treasure route was, in part, due to user feedback, as people wanted to see more of her.

Pretty much, nothing too complex, but tossed around to very the gameplay.

I don't think combat would fit the game's flow, but I could see a "sequence" where Veleno has to use the environment to take care of minions/goons. Knock over a shelf. Open a door at the exact moment the minion in front of it. Crates. Distraction to pass through a hallway. (Et cetera.) And perhaps that would fit some manner of game ending variant where Dani is the overall antagonist and her minions are wandering through the hotel "securing" anyone they find... except they missed Veleno (and maybe 1 or 2 other guests/staff), which means that he has to traverse the hotel in order to rescue everyone so that they can all rally against Dani. Or something~
