From “Charlotte Gets Pearls of Great Placement (ft. Vivian Cove & Paige Tova)”

You can guess at the reasons why this slumber-party photosession didn’t end up being a “sleep-over.” But it’s not just because the fun-and-games kept these beautiful women occupied ‘til dawn. This is just one of several sets shot that day, with some truly remarkable themes.

Why start with this one, then? Good question.

During a previous shoot (you can find the results of putting Charlotte together with Morgan in earlier boxes here…and there. Actually, several theres.), Charlotte creatively suggested a “sort-of” implied nudity shot, obscuring her most intimate “cleft” (She loves it when I call it that.) with a strand of pearls we were using more traditionally outside of those few shots.

Fast-forward to our discovery in a thrift-store showcase of vintage jewelry. There we found a twisted bracelet with three strands of varying sizes of pearls. We announced that we had that to bring to the party (and why, and how they were to be used), and that led to Paige adding some pearls from her collection. Of course, we also brought the long strands in which we had previously entwined Charlotte (even before the picnic with Morgan, they were part of her “Debutante Descending a Staircase” – you know where to find that set, and there’s more to come of that, too! I really need to sort and edit more frequently).

Long story made short: we had more than enough pearls to drape over, around, and onto Charlotte. But the most important placement required a better angle of view from our other two models and, frankly, Charlotte’s willingness to wedge some of the larger pearls on the center strand into place, so that anything within that cleft would be hidden from view.

The results: incredible. Frankly, the spread-legged shots of Charlotte with pearls pried up into that beautiful cleft…totally worth the price of the box, all by themselves. But you also get another eighty-something images of our three friends playing with their own pearls before depositing them onto the central figure of our tableau.
