From "Bambii – Extra-ORD-inary" - One Set Color, Another in Black-and-White

“Precious.” As a noun it is “a term of address for a beloved person.” As an adjective it denotes “an object, substance, or resource of great value; not to be wasted or treated carelessly.”
Those of us who were privileged to shoot with “The Artist Formerly Known as Bambii” (at least those with whom I’ve corresponded) found reasons to regard her as beloved. Not only a sweet personality, but a professional attention to the details of her work (and mine) and a willingness to creatively collaborate and confidently coach when asked.
But what makes these and some other sets you’ll eventually see here “of great value” and “not to be wasted or treated carelessly” is that, so far as any of us knows, all the images of “TAFKAB” already created are all that will ever exist. Not all have been sorted, edited, posted, uploaded, and/or published yet. And as I said above, though, there will be a few more to come. But the supply continues to dwindle, and the clock continues to tick.
For example, the creation of this set took place while the barracks at the former Fort Ord were still (mostly) intact and not yet fully emblazoned with warnings against trespassing. After playing in the light bouncing around the hallway, lobby, and doorway of one of the barracks, we ventured outside. (Well, frankly, Bambii ventured outside and I followed. I still think she was purposefully wandering from one type of light to another, and you can certainly notice her playing with the shadows of the tall grasses, the reflections from the broad side of the soldier-barn, and other challenging conditions.
