"You're going to get Sued" or "This is a Lawsuit waiting to happen"
Added 2022-08-16 01:32:33 +0000 UTCI have either gotten comments, messages, or questions about this. And honestly it is a fair question.
So I wanted to address this, and do a quick Poll about it.
Whilst on here, and Social Media I am using the original character names. When it comes to the game, the fair-use umbrella I intend to use is "Parody"
"Parody imitates the style of a particular creator with deliberate exaggerations for comedic effect. Satire uses humor to comment on the world-at-large, particularly in the context of politics. While both parody and satire incorporate criticism and commentary, only parody may be considered fair use" Source here
The perks to doing busty, pixel art versions of most of the characters is that there is a clear likeness, but also it is fundamentally very different from the original, face shape, eyes, body proportions, outfits. Additionally, I dont intend to use their real names, but variations - example (Rosalina, might be Rose, Erza, might just be named Scarlett with two Ts)
Is this going to ruin the experience for you?
