Hey, we need your help! Click the upper right attachment in this post and download this demo, and then we'd need you to test out just one thing; You can scroll using the arrow keys, and if you move to the left or downwards, the "volume" and "setting" levels will drop. Additionally, if you press "Z" on your keyboard, a random sound effect will play. We want to test and make sure that audio will still play when one of those variables (volume or setting) or both are below 0.50, so go down as low as you can on one of/both of them and keep mashing Z, and let us know if it suddenly cuts out long before it gets quiet. The team's tested it on our computers, but we wanted to ideally have people test it on computers that don't have third party audio codecs installed, or even better, on Windows XP machines, so if you do test it, please let us know what computer OS you're using as well as if you have any audio codecs installed. This is obviously a super early beta debugging thing, but outside of this, the main gameplay engine is pretty much programmed in, so yeah. :D

Tested with a closed headset with volume set to 100%, sound cuts out at both 0.25 and below. Tested on Windows 8.1, no custom codecs.

2015-01-29 22:44:22 +0000 UTCWindows 8.1 64bit no custom audio codecs. Got no problems over here, volume drops without big differences and the settings seem symmetrical.

2015-01-29 12:00:01 +0000 UTCI use modern.ie VMs for my Windows testing. https://www.modern.ie/en-us Its basically a set of empty Windows XP, Win Vista, Win 7, and Win8 VMs designed for Internet Explorer testing. Nonetheless, .exe files do run on them, so they make good test environments. ------------------- Windows 8.1 64-bit, The sound seems fine on my computer. It smoothly cuts out as you drop below .5. Around .2 / .5 or .5/2 (volume/setting) is when the volume cuts out entirely.

2015-01-29 05:40:03 +0000 UTCIt dissapears even if one or both of the amounts are above 0.50?

2015-01-29 00:02:33 +0000 UTCThe sound transitions pretty smoothly with the exception that if you move the box outside the window, the sound disappears.
2015-01-28 21:30:19 +0000 UTCWin 7 64-bit, I got CCCP installed, using Corsair Vengeance USB headphones, the sound goes down smoothly

2015-01-28 20:23:04 +0000 UTCDrops smoothly down to 0.07 on either where I can no longer hear anything. Win 7 64-bit. I do have Vorbis and Shorten codecs though.

2015-01-28 20:22:36 +0000 UTCNow when you say cuts out, you mean you can clearly hear it loudly, then boom total silence, or that it just gets too quiet to hear?

2015-01-28 19:35:43 +0000 UTCWin8.1 64 bit, no audio codecs installed, other than those included with windows and sound card drivers. Sound cuts out bellow listed values, and scales smoothly until then volume , setting 1.00 , 0.07 0.75 , 0,09 0.50 , 0.13 0.25 , 0.25 0.07 , 1.00 0.09 , 0.75 0.13 , 0.50 0.25 , 0.25
2015-01-28 19:34:49 +0000 UTCWin7 32 and 64bit tested. The sound drops very smoothly. Also rising the sound increases smoothly. However, the explosion sound is very powerful. Making the rest of the sounds weak. Cheers
2015-01-28 16:16:19 +0000 UTCwin7 64 sound goes off on max speakers volume if one of the values goes less than other one when both at 0.25, guess it's lowest cumulative threshold . Otherwise it goes pretty smooth.

2015-01-28 16:00:03 +0000 UTCWindows7 64bit, no custom audio codecs. I have to pump up the volume setting on my speakers but I can make it out as low as 0.35 and it doesn't seem to cut out at any point.

2015-01-28 12:17:31 +0000 UTCWindows Seven x64, no audio codecs. No sudden drop, works perfect. Sorry, don't have a Windows XP anymore, though I could probably grab it from a certain bay of buccaneers in a few days and place it on my living dead laptop, see if it works, if you really need.

2015-01-28 07:14:58 +0000 UTCyeah, it gets insanely light, but you're saying it's not a sudden drop in sound below 0.5 right?

2015-01-28 06:59:00 +0000 UTCnot sure if controller compatibility is in there, i'll have to ask cheshire about that when he wakes up, thanks for catching that though :)

2015-01-28 06:58:46 +0000 UTCWorks fine on mine. I got Win 7 64bit, however I do have 3rd party codecs installed. However, I don't know it it was my controller but I noticed that when I had it plugged in the cursor just kept moving to the upper right. Do you plan on making it controller compatible?

2015-01-28 06:17:09 +0000 UTCWin7 here, under 0.5 technically it still sounds, but it's so light it's almost like it can't be heard. Doesn't suddenly cut though.
