(Future Fragments) Electric Cannon, Patreon Backer Cutscenes, and a New Female Character!

Albatross should be handing me the engine on November 11th, at which point I'll start converting the maps over, inserting the new things (like powerups, etc.) and we should be good to go by the end of the month!
Triangulate has honestly went quite nuts over the last week or so (in a good way), pumping out art at an even more ridiculous rate than before. He's done so much new animations/art in fact that I honestly would need to do another 10-12 posts just to show off everything, seriously. He's currently working on things that bring depth to the game, like NPCs for cutscenes, the prologue CGs, so on.
I've been contacting CG artists and working things out with them, as well as working on new NPC designs for cutscenes with Triangulate this week.

THE ELECTRIC CANNON
So I've mentioned it in passing before, but the art you see above is of one of the environmental traps for the Electric Level.
It'll shoot out balls of electricity, which will do high damage to both Talia AND enemies, using physics (so if the ball is shot up into the air, it'll fall down with weight in an arc, etc.).
However, being a solid object, Talia can hit it with a freeze shot that, like other enemies, will freeze it in mid air temporarily. This will turn the ball into a platform, and create some interesting puzzles if you use the physics of the game/gravity stuff in the level appropriately.

PATREON BACKER CUTSCENE IMPLEMENTATION
Right now, the $15 backer tier is to put people in databanks, which we're still going to be doing, of course.
However, I did want to let you all know that there is a chance that depending on what we need for the game's cutscenes and/or what you go with for your backstory selection, we might include you in the actual visual cutscenes for the game; the way your character looks would be picked out by us in general, but if you were picked for a cutscene like this, we'd let you know in advance.

A NEW FEMALE CHARACTER?
Triangulate expressed interest in putting a "mysterious third female" in the game; initially, a number of "shadowy figure/giving the player a task" cutscenes were going to have different NPCs assigned to them each time, but I thought this might be a great way to make all those characters across those cutscenes one and the same, as well as flesh out a major aspect of the real story of the game.
If you're wondering what I mean about the "real story", you'll have to see by playing through the game. ;)
We'll have more of her likely next week.
