What does it mean to serve?
Added 2021-07-18 22:48:19 +0000 UTCHey guys, we have a quick poll for you, along with a few words for context and to let you know what's going on!
-----------------------------
CONTEXT:
With the last updates to the Patreon cheat menu, we had the fortunate side effect of seeing all the scenes that are currently in the game in a simple, easy to digest and organized list. This new scene selection also shows which scenes have dedicated variations for outfits and notable variations based on stats. (A full tracking of traits sensitivity is also being worked on, but for now too messy to push out publicly).
Having this information at a glance is a good reminder of exactly where we are at compared to our target. As our ultimate goal (for the final version of the game), we are of course aiming to have every scene (for which it makes sense) have multiple variations and alternatives, allowing you for a truly unique and personalized playthrough based on your choices.
Of course, we also want every variation to be hand crafted and meaningful, with some unique flavor to it, not just a few swapped descriptions. It will take some time to get everything just right, and your feedback is our guiding compass to the winds of inspiration that blow in our sails! (And based on our current progress I can say that you will see some new variations and options at the end of this month as well... ;)
In that context, an update to Servitude is also on the chopping block, which leads us to the present poll.....
-------------------
POLL: What is the Desire for Servitude to you?
1. Acts of Service:
whether it's cleaning Elise's room, helping Ionut with the dishes or serving drinks at the inn, acts of service are all about finding the pleasure in performing tasks for others and obeying their will.
2. Pleasure in Giving:
Not everything needs to be about receiving instant direct gratification for yourself. Servitude can be expressed in devotion to please another, made bittersweet by one's own unfulfilled needs and yearning frustrations.
3. Forming a Bond:
Servitude is about bond-(age)-ing and creating a deep personal relationship with the one you are devoting the efforts to. It is not meant for the random or casual encounters, but at the right time and place can truly change one's character.
Comments
Hello - I know I'm in the minority here, but I believe option 3 captures the spirit of servitude much more perfectly. Submissiveness already encompasses the pleasure of giving. Servitude is something... grander. More special. More important. Please vote for option 3...
