This movie alone made me to subscribe and while there's a long way until those really dark heartbreaking arcs, the comedy also keeps better! I didn't find Gintama that funny until around ep 90-100, but from there it quickly became one of my favorite piece of medium with tremendous fun. After the comedy clicks at one point, that's like an event horizon where there's no coming back. Thanks for the reaction guys!

The serious arcs later are some of the best arcs and fights in anime. But trust me enjoy the comedy while it lasts. The further you go you’ll learn more about Gintoki tragic past and the comedy just makes the arcs more hype cause the turn from comedic to serious is the best part of this show
