You're right! I remember someone mentioning this on the YouTube upload so I had a suspicion that's what this episode was referencing but I wasn't sure. It sucks that he got demoted for his noble deeds.

2021-11-21 22:50:10 +0000 UTCThe anime didn't do a good job explaining what it is that julius did for subaru. When he was making a fool out of himself a lot of the Knights wanted to kill him. By beating him up in a mock battle he saved him. Not to mention he also saved the Knights there from getting fired/Demoted/Prisoned. So he took the fall so currently he's not even considered a Knight hes now a mercenary he's class got lowered to that of common folk instead of nobility.

2021-11-21 19:58:35 +0000 UTCAnd with that season 1 is almost over! Some small clarifications: Subaru didn't get possessed by Petelgeuse because he had the Witch's scent. Moreover, all of Petelgeuse's fingers were him, just in a different body (the 2 woman, and the 2 old dudes). He can jump from body to body but a specific condition is needed in order to do so. Subaru has a very a high spirit affinity, just like Julius, so if a powerful evil spirit were to take over his body... Last thing, next episode has a very important after-credit scene. Don't forget to watch it! Anyways, keep it up! S1 finale's is just 1 reaction away.
