I had a slightly similar idea for how one of my story characters discovers said character's true parents and heritage by unexpectedly reuniting with said character's Wolf Mother...although in the waking world, not the dream/afterlife world. Just found seeing and reading this part in the comic amusing comparing my future idea to yours, hehe.
