Actually there is more to the time they mentioned in episode 3, which links back to the main theme of cars/driving. 10:10 and 9:15 refers to the position of the hands on the steering wheel while driving. 10:10 was the old method taught in most driving schools, but recently they have shifted to 9:15 position instead. Being an old clock, the monster used 10:10 and was defeated by the new 9:15 strike.
