Fun fact: in the Eng dub, Conan calls Ran "Hey there Beautiful" when he is drunk, which is funny to me. Also, not sure if this was explained, but I think he gave him some Chinese liquor that is used in Chinese medicine.

Anyways. YAY HATTORI HEIJI!!! Best boy. I really love his character. Him and Conan together is like a house on fire... Wait a minute. *Horrific realisation*

As for MK1412, I was also in the camp of “maybe you should hold off on this” at first, but after thinking about it, and also with what you said in the beginning, you might actually be fine with watching the series now. While you do have the first notable crossover coming up soon (which is connected to the first two episodes of MK12), the next notable crossover between the two doesn’t occur for another 200 episodes. So, chances are by the time you reach the second crossover, the second showing of that heist will still be very fresh for you, and I feel this will be the same for the other crossover heists. And like you said, I imagine the completely different art styles and story executions will aid in this. Thanks for your reactions and best of luck!
