Okay so, the whole part of episode 9 where Ryoma sees that hellscape is taken straight from the Shin Getter manga where he was testing the newly finished Shin Getter and the use of alternate Ryoma, Hayato, Saotome, Michiru, and Benkei is more of a representation of what humans are like usig characters we have an attachment to rather than the literal this is them in the future. That massive Getter that loomed over that world is Getter Saint Dragon and that is it's only appearance. This anime also is fast tracking the character developments of the Getter pilots and Saotome from the manga as Ryoma and Hayato are wild boys who become more respectable pilots with Benkei being the emotional one tying the team together, after seeing that vision Ryoma left the lab and founded a dojo in some mountains for the next decade and a half, Hayato follows in Saotome's footsteps while Saotome became more enlightened/insane to the truth of the Getter Rays and their roles with the Getter. Given it's now close to a year and a half to two years since I started requesting you probably have forgotten but the Getter Rays are living energy and are leading everything to the evolution of the Getter into the Getter Emperor even brainwashing those with important roles to play into fanatisism.
