Same! I can't help but feel like they were referencing that. This whole series feels like an homage to Go Nagai. It even sounds like they have JAM project in the soundtrack.

One of the coolest visuals in Super Sentai, honestly. Reminds me of Getter Robo Armageddon when Ryoma returned with the Black Getter draped in the cloak.
