Yeah, even though this case is separate from the Desperate Revival arc, it’s still part of it sort of, tying up a loose end before doing its own thing (it’s kind of a “cooldown” case, if you will. There’s a number of other cases that are like this). And it’s always nice to get the occasional case where no one gets murdered lol As for the subs, which didn’t seem to be that bad other than the beginning scene, I might have a solution. A while back, I made a Dropbox for another Detective Conan reactor; he reached a point in the series where most websites had pretty terrible versions of the fansubs (which was pretty odd because they actually had the best versions around, yet they were royally screwed up in various ways). Given I also had to go through those terrible versions as I watched the series the first time, I decided to find and save the best versions of the canon episodes. The episodes are in standard definition, so the video quality will occasionally drop, but they still look great. And as a bonus, there’s a few episodes that are actually remastered (it’s separate from the remastered versions you’ve been watching so far). At one point, TMS started to re-air certain episodes, and they went through the process of remastering them. Another thing to note is some fansub groups made a “quality-of-life” edit by combining a case’s episodes into one video. So, a two-parter (or more) would be edited together to form essentially a one-hour or more special. It's pretty neat. If you decide to take up this offer, just know that there will be one case (EP 222-224) that won’t be from the standard definition library; it’ll instead be from the remastered version library that you’ve been using. I’ll elaborate on this later, but simply put, as cool as the remaster/re-air thing is, this case is a notable instance of the downside of how TMS does the remastering, but thankfully it’s not very common and I’ve found that not many websites continued doing this particular thing. I imagine this will save you the headache of trying to find a suitable website and then hoping the video works lol I can also send you the movies; I went and found the best sub versions for those too.
