About my missed project this month (And Future Changes)

As you probably noticed I couldn't deliver two of the main projects promised for each month : "Rina's Night" and "Penny's Curse"  (I just posted the sketch for this one). I also delivered only 1 page of "Becoming Wolves" this month compared to the 3 I did last month.

In the last case I think I never promised a locked amount for "Becoming Wolves", that said I was hoping to have at least 2, but that couldn't happen because I thought the next page needed more work that I anticipated. Remember, much of the previous pages have been recycled as it was an old project that I started to refine over time.

That said that'll probably be the second pic I'll post next month after the colored pic of Krissy.

So anyway I wanted to come out clean, I just couldn't work as much as I wanted this month. In some cases I just couldn't focus , I was generally very tired and I had a few compromises (meetings) to attend... (including my birthday?)

I've been also working with a new artist for a new Chronicle story (from Alpha Luna) focused on Ivan and this past month I worked with her on the first layouts to kick-off the project, so I had some writing work to do. So far she's been really fast and has forced me to put a lot of attention to edit her layouts every week. Right now we have 4 inked pages already (that need the lettering work from me) and she already put up sketches for pages 5 to 8. That will be the first Chrnoicle comic to start when "Luna's Strength" finishes in page 22.

I know my editorial work shouldn't keep me away from my own art-work, but I hope you understand that I'm not perfect balancing all I have in my plate some times. I just don't wanna deliver stuff half-assed for the sake of meeting a quota.

"Rina's Night" is by far my most difficult comic in terms of production and time (fully colored and shaded) and I just couldn't come up with an idea that I liked as much as I sketched some ideas that were not worth even posting.

For "Penny's Curse" while it was ready to ink I had ideas to improve the layout so i was trying another approach because Cearenbow had other ideas so I was thinking on going for a second sketch. But I couldn't focus so I decided to just draw the next AL page.

I need to remark when I say you spend time thinking on how to approach ideas and there is wasted time there that sadly some times can lead nowhere but it's part of the process.

In any case, for those who don't remember this what I should/deliver each month:

-2 Alpha Luna Pages

- 2 Chronicles AL pages

-Becoming Wolves

-Penny's Curse

-Rina's Night

-Current Commissions

-TF Sketches

Yes, if I delivered more Sketches than usual was to amend  some of lack on content in other areas. If you don't like that and you feel I'm been faulty on my promises I need to ask you to understand that I'm just human sometimes when I'm not capable to be wolf 100% of the time.

Is not this better than just disappearing as I've done in the past? Right now I'm doing my best to keep working. Even if slow my pace at times.

But with all that in account I've decided that starting next month I'll be reducing Tiers. I think $15 for the whole deal can be a little too much for some. Also the $5 tier has probably the less subscribers while I think those who support me with just $2 should probably get a little more.

So I'm deciding to do the following:  Tiers pup and Beta will be fused in one Tier at $2, Alpha Tier will now be only $7 and Alpha Luna Tier will be $12 - Part is also due I've just recently finished Beta-Collie and the Alpha-Luna tier has lost a very special part.

In the end, I wish you can forgive this wolf dude if some times I lack in some areas and you still feel you're helping me out to keep working for the next month , even if this month I lacked on the art you were waiting for.

I'd wish to think you always have in mind you're paying for the artist first and not for the product only, but I can't force to change your mind if you're in the latter mind sent. I fully understand if broken promises can make you feel disappointed.

In  any case, thanks for all your support. As always is your belief in my work that keep me trying to be better.

But when you promise something as part of your page then deliver it or don't promise it.

When your work speaks to you it speaks to you, I'm pretty sure you know by this point that most of us really just want you to do what's best for your frame of mind. You're a fantastically talented artist, but it's not all you are. We will be here no matter what you decide to do schedule wise. Just don't be a total stranger here or on the server :P

Cynfall

Don't sweat it man, I always enjoy what ever art you get done. Just don't burn yourself out. Take a break if you need it.

Nicholas Portegys

hey, things come up. and also, sometimes you have more ideas on a different piece than what you're working on, im just happy to see your art, period. :)

LanHao

TBH, i dont care if you bbring out one project or hundreds. I support you because i love the work you do, the ideas you come up with and the fun you have creating all your drawings. So in my eyes, dont put yourself under stress in briinging out things at specific times, just work in the speed you feel comfortable, because the more speed and pressure you put yourself under the more the things you love become work, and you will lose the fun. So i hope the new way you want to do thiings is the way to put a little stress from you, and for me, i will still support you the way i did since i started. For me you are one the most amazing artists out there who does werewolf art this way, and this is the reason why i support you :)

NiWo21k

I pay for the artist, and your stuff is always worth the wait. No pressure.

Dwarven

You know I'm always patient considering I go through my own hiatuses too often. Like everyone stated already; if you need to take some breaks to get your mojo flowing again do so. For Your Health!

TimidTabby

Thanks for the heads up Leo. Don't burn yourself out on our account.

Tyrik

Thanks for the info, Leo. Always here to support you whenever you get the werewolf muse! :)

BerryWhite

No worries. You got a lot on your plate so understandable that some times you won't be able to balance both sides of things. Still wish to support you as i can in the coming times. Good luck in your projects and work still. Take care now.

Sephzero

If your burning yourself out then just do one pateron. If your other work is taking over and not allowing you to fulfill your duties to paterons who are paying then don't do pateron. You got to figure out what the priority is. This is also a business you are doing and people who are paying you are also working for that money they are giving you.

Thank you.

No complaints from me friend, don't burn yourself out! All work no play can be exhausting
