Status Update - Specials and Stores

Hello my MODDERS and MODIFIERS!!

I hope you're all having a nice weekend!
Since the theme vote I've began planning the new content and implementing the new gameplay mechanics for this update, so let's go over some of the changes!

Special MODIFICATIONS

Normally, on the first update after the vote, I describe where in the MODIFICATION tree will the new content be added.

However, this next MODIFICATION (Vampire) will not be a normal path, and instead will be what I call a Special MODIFICATION!

Special MODIFICATIONS will serve as more "one-shot" type MODIFICATIONS, and will be designed differently than how normal paths usually go.

Normal paths mainly focus on slow, incremental transformations - while Special MODIFICATIONS will serve more like a "wild card" where we can go a bit crazier.

But, if the MODIFICATION is not in a path how is it unlocked?

GIMMICK STORE is OPEN

Originally, I was going to call it "Tightly's Store" but that felt a bit boring, and calling it a gimmick sounded funny.

Once the player has finished at least 2 paths, when resetting they will receive a call informing that in the player's room, a new option is unlocked and they can now use the Gimmick Store!

For now, only the item that will be used to begin the Vampire MODIFICATION will be there, however in the future - besides Special MODIFICATION items - I'm also thinking of adding different functionality items, like "item to skip minigame" or "quick-travel item".

But now, the important question is, we have a store - how do you pay?

In order to pay for new items, you'll need to get points!

And there will be two ways to get points for now:

Also I should note, while this is a pretty big gameplay change, I did design the code in a way to not break any of the previous saves!

So if in your save you've already unlocked all previous paths, you'll receive the proportional amount of points when the store is unlocked, so you should be able to immediately play the Vampire MODIFICATION without needing to farm for points.

A few final notes

This past week I mainly focused on getting the store and point system working, as well as the event to unlock it, and am currently still working on the inventory system.

Design-wise I don't want the game to ever feel "grindy" since I'm personally not someone who enjoys that gameplay style, so when playing the game normally - there should be enough points to unlock all the sexy stuff.

I'm also hoping that sometime next week I'll be able to announce a pretty cool thing I've been working on behind the scenes!!

Currently lactation/cow girl transformation are planned as normal paths. I believe I'll mainly use specials for thematic MODIFICATIONS that make the gameplay and vibe pretty different from the usual MODs (as is the case with Vampire, because I want to make it a bit spooky for halloween).

Question then with this new system would things like lactation be considered a special transformation?
