Voice Pack Announcement!!

Hello my MODDERS and MODIFIERS!!

So last month, I was approached by a voice actress by the name of Miera (@mieramommy on twitter).
She mentioned she really liked the game and was interested in voicing Mia.

Since then, we've been discussing and working on this in secret, but I'm finally able to announce that,

MODIFICATION APP UPDATE 0.5.0 WILL ALSO INCLUDE A NEW VOICE PACK!!

This was a big change that Miera and I have been working on, and we're very excited for you all to see it in the next update!!

For some more information;

What will the VoicePack include?

The pack will include voice acting for all paths until 0.4.0.
In the future, the voice pack is planned to be updated to include the previous update's content.

We discussed having the VA match the current update's content, but unfortunatly, with the way I develop the game, I'm normally writing and changing the dialogues right until I press the export button.
So having VA included for the current content would force the updates to always be delayed, which I don't want to do.

What is a "VoicePack"?

The reason I call this a VoicePack is because adding voice acting to the game will be a seperate file download, and will not be added by default into the game.

This is because a few reasons,

When Miera approached me to do this, I told her that unfortunatly I was unable to afford voice acting, however she said she didn't want to be paid and just wanted to collab.

This was very nice of her, and she has expressed interest in continuing VA Mia in future updates!!

That being said, I don't want her to ever feel "forced" to do this, especially since she's doing it for free.
So if by any reason she leaves this project behind, the base game will remain unchanged and only the VoicePack will not have any future more updates.

I think this is the best way to keep the game consistent, and not have unecessary pressure for this.

I've been working on adding VA functionalities to the dialogue system - as well as making a bunch of tools in python to be able to make this work - since around mid-August, so it feels very nice to finally be able to announce it.

I hope you liked the little teaser I put together, and in the meantime I'll go back to the dungeon and continue working on the update!
