東京旅行その３ Tokyo Trip Part ３

さて前回からの続きですね

Well, this is a continuation from last time

7日

この日は高校の友達と上野のアメ横で呑みました

都会は住み辛いらしく、近々田舎へ戻るそうです

On this day, I went drinking with a high school friend at Ameyoko in Ueno. He said he finds it hard to live in the city and is planning to move back to the countryside soon.

そのあとは秋葉原へ行ったり、街中華で食べたりして過ごしました

この友達とはまた地元でゆっくり飲みたいと思います

After that, we went to Akihabara and ate at a local Chinese restaurant. I'd like to meet up with this friend again for a relaxing drink in my hometown.

8日

この日は昔の会社の先輩と、上野でふぐを食べました

この先輩も仲良くしてた人で、久々の再開で楽しかったです

On this day, I went to Ueno to eat fugu with a senior from my old company. He was also a good friend of mine, and it was fun to see him again after such a long time.

先輩と別れた後、漫画家の駆け出し時代に住んでいた池袋へ

After parting ways with my senior, I went to Ikebukuro, where I lived when I was a fledgling manga artist.

弟と住んでいたアパート

いろんな先生のアシスタントをしながら、出版社を駆け回る日々でした

The apartment I lived in with my brothers. I worked as an assistant to various teachers and ran around publishing companies.

あまり変わっていません

ひたすら

出版社→アシスタント現場→自宅で原稿の日々

5年近く関東にいましたが、観光地とか全く行ってないんですね

When I was in Kanto, I didn't go to any tourist spots.

ここは一番最高の思い出の場所です

丁度角川書店で連載が決まった時、自宅以外の事務所として借りました

僕は当時の自分に謝りたいです

「申し訳ない、連載は終わってしまった」と

夢と希望に震えながら、毎日ここで漫画を描きました

This is the place with the best memories. When I was chosen to serialize my manga at Kadokawa Shoten, I rented this place as an office outside of my home. I want to apologize to myself at that time. "I'm sorry, the serialization has ended," I told myself. Trembling with dreams and hopes, I drew manga here every day.

これは弟と食べたラーメン

早稲田の近所にあるラーメン屋ですが美味かったです

This is the ramen I had with my younger brother. It's from a ramen shop near Waseda and it was delicious.

12日

鈍行で東京を発ち、東北の町に向かいます

友人の牧場に車を止めているので、それを取りに行きます

I'm leaving Tokyo on a local train and heading to a town in Tohoku. I've parked my car at a friend's ranch, so I'm going to pick it up.

この誰も乗車していない田舎の電車が好きです

I like this rural train with no one on board.

13日

帰路

新潟は大雪でした

On the way back, there was heavy snow in Niigata.

以上、私の東京旅行でした

いつの日か、あの古アパートにいい報告ができる日が来るよう、頑張って生きたいと思います

That was my trip to Tokyo. I will do my best to live my life so that one day I can give a good report to that old apartment. Thank you everyone. Happy New Year.
