Yeh that Dr have a creepy obsession with her, its perverse. Oh really imagine him as Luke Skywalker 🤣 Whatever Cold Habour is, it doesn't seem like its going to be good for either Gemma or Mark. The testing floor theory does sound about right to be honest, it does seem like she is a different person in each room, and they do relate to some of her fears. It is so confusing and brilliant at the same time

Whenever we learn something new, it's always some random, crazy shit that makes things more confusing. It's like a mindfuck matryoshka doll.😵💫

2025-04-23 23:55:20 +0000 UTCWhether Gemma chose to be part of severance testing or not, she definitely doesn't want to be doing it now, and I doubt she signed up for this specific experience. I love that she doesn't believe them when they tell her that Mark has moved on. Dr. Mauer definitely has a creepy obsession with her. The actor who plays him, Robby Benson, was well known in the 70s and 80s, but does more directing and voice acting now. He actually auditioned to play Luke Skywalker. If I remember correctly, they say that Gemma's done after Cold Harbor, so is Dr. Mauer going to do something messed up to keep her with him? And the answer to what happens to her after Cold Harbor is such cryptic Kier bullshit that I can't tell if they're going to kill her, wipe her memory, keep her trapped forever, do a different experiment, put someone else's personality into her body, do something with one of the goats, or what. The craziest suggestion seems possible. My theory for what's happening on the testing floor is that there is a new chip that allows you to have multiple innies, as opposed to the chips the severed floor employees have, which only allow you to have one. Each room Gemma enters transforms her into a different innie, and the questions they ask are to make sure each innie stays completely separate from the others and the outie. You can see from Petey and Mark's reintegrations how the experiences bleed together, so asking questions about how many rooms Gemma was in that day, etc. can ensure that everything is remaining separate. We also heard Gemma and Mark talk about some things that later came up in the rooms. So, did they interview her early on about her fears/dislikes and design the rooms based on that? And why is it so important that Mark specifically finishes Cold Harbor? Is there something about Mark's connection to Gemma that means he's the only one who can create the experience in the rooms she enters or is he creating the innie she becomes in the room? IT"S SO CONFUSING!
