I forgot how many times this movie made me cry. It's been so long actually that I saw it that I think seeing it as an adult made me cry a bit more cause of how much I felt for both Lilo and Stitch and their journey of finding where they fit in the world. Thank you for reacting to it, nice to be reminded about how good this movie was!

This movie is so special. And I mean, sci-fi and watercolors, what more could we ask for! Truly an artistic gem. ๐ฝ๐บ
And well I just adore the O'hana theme so much. ๐ค This movie knows how to pull at the heartstrings for sure. So many beats in this movie that get me on a personal level. One thing I caught onto this time around was how Lilo understood Stitch's rage and where it comes from ๐ญ
And oh man the comedy is *chef's kiss*. I particularly love the use of stupidhead haha
Plus the use of Elvis in this movie is iconic. I absolutely love the moment of Lilo distraught, laying on the floor with the record player and mouthing the words to Heartbreak Hotel lol! Also, the Wynonna rendition of Burning Love at the end is a total jam.
Also it was hilarious when you spotted the pineapple lol! Our eyes will forever be trained to spot pineapples beacuse of Psych! ๐ I spotted a lot in this movie ๐คฃ
Total props to you John for coming suited up to this reaction in your jelly fish shirt ๐ชผ And *chefs kiss* on your Stitch voice there at the end haha.
Oh and I'm so excited to go back and find you Emperor's New Groove reaction because oh man, that one is a top ten of my childhood! Monsters Inc. is another top ten for me. Some other honorable mentions for me would be Meet the Robinsons, Ratatouille, and Bolt.
Anyways, so many laughs and so many tears with this one. Loved your reaction and your thoughts as always! Thanks for sharing this moment with us! ๐ค

Lilo and Stitch is one of my favorite animated movies. It's such a beautiful story and talks about some real, hard subjects. My job is social worker adjacent and I think this one hits harder now than it does when I was a kid. One of the little details I really enjoy is Lilo taking photos of all the tourists, instead of tourists taking the photos. Also Lilo feeding the fish who "controls the weather" when her parents died in a car crash during a storm. :(
The art is beautiful, the music is fun, the characters are all fantastic. It's just great all around! I saw the highlights pop up on Youtube and knew I had to carve out time today for the full watch along. So fun to experience this with you for the first time!

Last movie since freaking Snow White to use watercolors as their backgrounds! Beautiful, beautiful movie.

I adore this movie and Stitch is my absolute favorite Disney character. I even pride Stitch PoP figure. I think that movie may have the most realistic depiction of a family in a Disney movie.

The way you keep calling Lilo 'little one' ๐ญ So glad you finally watched this one, this is genuinely one of my favorite movies of all time, not just favorite Disney! It was definitely a gift for all of us who grew up in a similar 'broken but good' family; I remember the shock of seeing a CPS type worker in a Disney movie at the same time as my family was dealing with child services, so it was so formative and only had an even greater effect on me as I continued to rewatch it into adulthood.
