Super happy you finished the show! Yeah, I guess that's the cost of how the show started with having the seasons being separated. It's just gonna feel not as concluded in the finale. But I loved this final episode. Also, I know you're super busy, but I would recommend reading the first issue of the Korra comics. It takes place directly where the show ended, with Korra and Asami going into the Spirit World. It fleshes out their relationship and is super touching. They can be read on youtube if you don't feel like buying it. I feel like not every question needed to be answered here. Like we didn't really need to know what happened to Baatar Jr. He's left with Suyin and so they'll figure out the details. The spirits gave a pretty solid answer in episode 10, they aren't gonna help ๐ So it didn't surprise me when they didn't show up. But yeah, this show has comics and they are dealing with a lot of the aftermath, which are very good, but I understand wanting it to all be in the show to make it feel more glued together. I think there were some really good things in this finale about character. It's not something to really talk about I suppose but it's still there. The final fight with Korra and Kuvira was super thrilling. The fight wasn't a fight of brute force, but it was a battle of skill. Korra was fast and agile, throwing calculated attacks. She became less Anakin, more like Obi Wan with pure skill. So I liked just seeing that fight style with Korra being evolutionized. Also, the moment with Mako and Korra, fears of their romance aside, I think was very sweet. They still love each other, which happens with ended relationships. Mako will still always have her back. They did bring up the idea of Kuvira and Korra being very alike, but I think they needed to bring that idea back more than just brining it back in the finale. But that moment when Korra saved Kuvira was really well done. Kuvira is all about power, then she saw her enemy demonstrate a power that she can never achieve. Korra used the Deus Ex Machina that came up in The Last Airbender: Energy bending. But because they used it more and more in this show, it's less of an ass pull, and more of a super ability avatars can sometimes use. And it was a sick moment, Korra saving a life, rather than fighting aggressively. The Avatar Theme even played in the background, showing the epicness of the moment. And of course, Korra and Asami. Yeah, in 2014, this was I think, the first time they teased and showed a gay couple in an animated show. So it was a really big moment. Korra did it first ๐คฃ I think your conclusion is pretty similar to mine. Avatar just had perfect storytelling, all packaged in a tight knit, 3 season experience. Korra had a messy start, with the creators not knowing that their show would end on season 1, then get another season they have to re open the show, then they close the show again, only to get 2 more seasons. So there was a lot of fuckery that hindered that really cohesive story that Avatar had. I don't really hold that against the show, I just accept it as a terrible circumstance. Avatar overall is the better show, but I think for one, Korra is a better character than Aang. She just had a bigger journey that was so real, even though we hated her in the beginning, it made sense. She's literally 17 when the show starts. I think that when Korra as a show was at its highest, was as good, if not better than Avatar. Like it's highs are in Avatars ballpark for sure. But as a whole experience, Avatar keeps that consistent high all the way through. Still, I adore this show. I can understand what you mean about the fighting, but I think that's more on the fact of the lack of episodes. This show would have flowed so much better if each season had more episodes. Like 15 each. Less endings that were rushed, like in the pervious seasons, and more time fleshing things out. I think Avatar is like a 9 out of 10, and Korra is an 8. Maybe an 8.5. Its less, but its highs reach that higher echelon that Avatar had. But I'm glad you took the journey. Maybe John can watch Avatar now, or you and Olivia, (when you're free) could possibly start a new show. Once Upon a Time is a really good show and an interesting change of pace, if you're a fan of older Disney tales. Whatever comes next, I'm gladly here for it! โค๏ธ

Now there is future avatar shows coming from the same creators animation form but I enjoyed these reactions these shows have a childhood/teenager place while growing up. Now I'm turning 31 next Saturday I feel a little older rewatching these shows but these shows animation/stories are timeless. Love the avatar last Airbender and legend of Korra.

Yeah, Avatar was better, but I thought LoK was great at the end, building this new HARMONIOUS world with humans and spirits, Korra finally finding herself, the world is at peace, and everything was pretty much tight up neatly at the end, while not the epic finale like Avatar had, the last couple of seasons faired more as a conclusion to the show. Hope to see you two guys again when the live-action show comes out, unless Netflix fucks that up too, if so see you when the new animated one comes in a couple of years. While we are on the topic of great animations, I'll see you Greg when Attack on Titan returns in about 3 weeks...with the first part of the final part of the final season (S4 Part 3A).๐
