I feel like it’s rare to see Woody saying something with earnestness like he does in certain moments in this episode, but I love it bc it makes you just like him even more. But he has some of the most hilarious lines in this show, and his dynamic with Shawn has always been quite a great thing to behold. Trout being on his BS and then immediately getting fired is so amusing, especially the fact that he didn’t seem surprised or change his tone after that phone call 😂 Anthony Michael Hall really does such a great job with the little nuances to make Trout who he is lol. I shall rack my brain to see if I can think of that “weak” episode…though part of me thinks Flev is right haha. Btw did you ever find a “Playa Named Gus” shirt to purchase?? Always so fun, and great hearing your perspective again, Mr. John Intros 😄

2023-03-29 15:47:14 +0000 UTC“High Top Fade Out” is one of my absolute favorites too! Totally agree and glad we got one of our favorite supporting characters in that one for the first time. I also think the line with him talking about misleading Juliet is one of the best/most “Woody” lines ever lol

I just love Woody 🥰 When Jules comes in and Woody is like, "Now, if I, in any way, led you to believe I was your father..." I die everytime 🤣🤣 I could go on and on with his lines in this episode but I wont haha. Oh and I know what ya mean about feeling like we had Woody sooner because honestly on this rewatch with you when I went back to catch up I couldn't wait for you to meet Woody for the first time and it felt like ages before we saw him. But his debut was in Season 4 episode 7, "High Top Fade Out", one of my all time favorite episodes and renditions of the intro song. 😍 Anyways, I also love Shawn laying the accent on thick. Especially when he says, "stop playing with our emotions!" 😂 So many other good beats like the cheese and what not, but you got em all in your review. Just another great episode. I had to watch both the watch along and the highlights for this one. Honestly I'll probably be doing that for the rest of the season just to prolong the journey in anyway possible 🥺 🍍another pinap in the bank! As Shawn would say, I'm proud of you☝🏽😆🍍 As for heist movies, all I can think of at the moment is The Italian Job. See ya on the next one! Much love 🖤
