Singer has always been the character driven (silent) showrunner, while having the benefit of a stronger plot driven or world and lore architect in his showrunning partners up until now. Dabb admittedly didn't have a specific vision for the show, so take that as you will. That explained, at least to me, why things didn't quite feel right at this point in the series. That's not to say the final seasons are bad or that I didn't like them. They are just different and my expectations had to be recalibrated.
ETA: I appreciate that you both are honest and don't always line up with what the fandom or GA likes. It's the reason why I watch your reactions. If I wanted validation I would hang out on Tumblr. Screw the haters.
