Rec is a blast, and they do "send more people!?" in Rec 2 which picks up right where this one leaves off via an "Aliens-esque" sequel - with a SWAT team that enters the quarantined building to battle the demon virus. Worth a watch! (Rec 3 & 4 are meh though).

Both are great at just building the anxiety, the latter is also found-footage-ish (It takes place over Zoom call). And the former combines the rising terror with a dark and depressing atmosphere like in Hereditary or The Witch. And I hesitate to make this recommendation because I hated the ending, but Come True (also 2020) is shot really well and has these sequences that are pure nightmare fuel.
