2023-07-06 17:10:28 +0000 UTCI like what Greg says about the 13th Doctor being afraid but still fighting the good fight. The Doctor has always been very stoic and it's a trait I really like. A lot of the times The Doctor is afraid but good at not showing it. I kind of see it as a flaw of the writing or direction to have Jodie's performance as The Doctor act so afraid without acknowledging how big of a shift that is to the usual mannerisms that came before Jodie. If they made it feel like to me that this was a purposeful change then I'd be 100% behind it, but I think it's just Jodie's personal portrayal. Like I said, it's good but wish it had that narrative depth I crave.

2023-07-06 16:39:55 +0000 UTCAbout the Sontaran's probic vent, how it seems like it's designed to be a kill switch, it actually is! It's designed that way so that Sontarans always have to face their enemies in battle, and they can't be cowardly or retreat.
