The books definitely explain a bunch more as you read through Thomas' thought processes and memories, also the characters are more fleshed out so you fully understand Gally's thoughts and fears and why he is like he is. I for sure cried when Chuck died in the book too. That being said I really love these movies and can't wait to hear your thoughts in the rest of the trilogy!

2023-08-26 14:17:14 +0000 UTCThe Maze Runner Trilogy is my favorite YA adaptation from the earlier craze of adapting a bunch of YA books to screen (Hunger Games, Divergent, The 5th Wave, etc.) because The Maze Runner Trilogy also feels like a gateway sci-fi action blockbuster that can introduce younger audiences to tighter subgenres for film greats like Akira, Mad Max and Dredd. Plus, I love that Wes Ball refused the studio's want to split The Death Cure into 2 parts.
