Alyx didn't fight it; in fact, she kind of wanted it. The almost sticky substance's smooth, black appearance, along with the way it moved and transformed into tentacle-like patterns, released something deep within her. It called to her, invited her in, and felt oddly welcoming. It was as though it was trying to give her something wonderful. A new type of existence, in fact.
