Episode Synopsis:
The Doctor has been pondering a question: have people ever been truly alone? Does something lurk unseen beside us all? With Clara at his side, the Time Lord finds himself delving into familiar pasts and eerie futures... Just where does the answer to the old man's unanswerable question lie? Will he find the answers he's been searching for, or will his quest cost him his life this time?

I really love this episode and I really think the point is that you're never meant to get the answers – just like we can't ever find out if there's anything *other* out there. I just really find this to be a brilliant execution of a brilliant concept and I really loved your thoughts and reaction!

2022-06-25 18:01:05 +0000 UTCThis remains one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes ever. The little nursery rhyme, Moffat's top-tier writing, The Doctor as a child reveal, and the episode's overall eeriness seal the deal for me on this one. Honestly, Capaldi, I think, was the best doctor to perform this episode as well. Sure, the others would have done a good job with it, but I feel like its Capaldi's edginess (and eyebrows lol) that make it a truly great performance. Especially, his chemistry with Clara - very much a guardian-like role. Moffat is brilliant in leaving the audience with more questions than answers at the end which, when you think about it, is incredibly on-par with the episode's theme of fear and the power it holds on our mind. UGH I love this episode. :) I can't wait for yall to witness more Moffat-Capaldi team-ups! Definitely some of my favorite episodes! (:

2022-04-04 13:18:51 +0000 UTCgreat reaction, this is my 2nd favorite ever episode of all Doctor Who, and this episode made Peter Capaldi my favorite Doctor pushing him past Tennant and with each of the rest of Capaldis episodes the space between 1st and 2nd place for my favorite Doctors just grows farther apart , I love everything about it, Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi are phenomenal, plus love the idea that it could be reasonable explanations for everything or it could be an actual perfect hider
