As far as Zuko being alive, I believe the intention was that the entire OG Team Avatar was dead except Katara. In the pilot of TLOK, Katara mentions how her brother and her friends are gone. However, with the constant non-commital nature from the studio, the writers did not know they would get this far and did know they had a chance to bring Zuko back. Sidebar: I wish Zuko was voiced by James Garrett (Roku) but they wanted to combine Zuko into his two great-grandfathers so neither voice actor came back.

2022-06-14 12:25:51 +0000 UTCGreat to see you guys back! Yeah season 3 is absolutely fantastic. Zaheer is voiced by Henry Rollins, super famous metal singer. And Ming Hua, the armless waterbender, is voiced by none other than Grey De Lisle, the same actress who voiced Azula 🤯 The Earthbender Ghazan, is using a bending ability we've seen very few times. Not sure I see what you're saying about the voices, but hopefully you get more accustomed to it as the season progresses. It could just also be the choice of lines that makes the villains sound like frat guys 😅 Also a cool detail about Zuko. His beard and hair match the hair of his great grandfathers. He has the same beard as Fire Lord Sozin, the man who wiped out the airbenders and started the 100 year war. His longer hair matches Avatar Roku, showing that he is his two great grandfathers, light and dark.
